Highlights Recap
At the start of the session, the Gobbos made an announcement: they wanted a pool. A nice big pool for their orphanage. They were very serious about this, and the party bemusedly agreed to pursue it. They determined they would need a few things: a hole, some cement, some sealant, water, and a filtration system. The gobbos also insisted on a slide, and an innertube.
First they went to visit the Hangman to see about getting some cement. The Hangman had a few bags laying around, which she was happy to turn over to them. Particularly if it would help smooth things over with Umquat a little bit.
With the first element acquired, the party did some research to figure out what monsters were most likely to produce a good sealant for their pool. Apparently the spinal fluid of a Sorbeyak is particularly good for this, and a single Sorbeyak is good for 6-10 gallons of the stuff. Plenty to seal up a single pool. The party set out for Comet Caller territory, since all Sorbeyaks are created by wizards as guardians.
On the way the party ran into some smart mutant catchers, who kept on walking once they realized how tough the party was, and some dumb mutant catchers who didn’t and got themselves murderated.
Just outside Comet Caller territory, the party came upon some mutants with the lower bodies of Llamas, and the upper bodies of svelt men and women. They were seraching for a missing foal. The party decided to get involved in the investigation. They questioned people in some of the nearby buildings, and eventually discovered that some people had seen a slaver named Big Joe grabbing the foal, presumably to sell him up the line to Kesslinger, the local guild boss.
The session ended in media res as the party prepared to set out.
