Highlights Recap
Within the last of the four weapons platforms, the party was easily able to disable it, allowing them to bring the Bosco in to dock with the central building. Within, they were greeted by a large group of octogenarians and nonagenarians eager to get onto this ship, but the party warned them off. They’d be happy to take these folks back to civilization, but not until they’d helped the party loot some valuables.
Pablo, the nominal leader of the group, agreed to lead them to the art gallery. However, he warned that the security codes to this place were on a rotating cycle, and it had been long decades since any of these folks had been given the current codes. They’d been stuck in the habitation areas the whole time.
Pablo led the party through some luxurious accommodations–apparently meant for the Dukebaron and his guests, but long since appropriated by the abandoned servants. There, the party passed a group of old folks who had not been trying to get onto the ship. In fact, they looked pretty upset to see the players. Pablo explained that, after so many years, lots of folks didn’t want to leave. They were content with their lives here, didn’t think there was anything for them in the outside world, and were annoyed that so many others had decided to leave.
Gown decided to try and head off trouble by speaking to the disaffected folk, offering to take their messages somewhere, or put them in contact with others. When he was finished, those who wished to remain were a little less hostile.
Moving onwards, the party hacked their way through the door (alerting security in the process) into the art gallery wing of the collection, where they were greeted by a hologram of the Dukebaron himself, posturing about his deep love of art. As the players proceeded through the galleries, they found first a statuary, then a room of shapes.
RayRayRayRayRay fell in love with a large statue of a woman wrestling a lion with a fire mane, (sculpted by the infamous Lego Renaz), and insisted it be brought aboard the Bosco. While the rest of the party went off to find a hover sled, Tin Man remained behind to appreciate the shapes, and contemplate the anti-robot prejudice of their companions.
While alone, Tin Man was attacked by a sextet of security robots. They severely injured him, but he managed to get back to his companions just as they got the statue onto one of the two hoverlifts they’d retrieved. A fierce battle was fought, aided by the security bot’s inability to endanger the art. The security bots were eventually defeated, but not before Pablo was killed.
