NPC Interactions
PFC Bower – Killed by the party.
Private Jessen, Serial Number 381467 – Taken hostage, paid 1000cc, then knocked out.
Mad Bill Danger – Got teleported by the party.
Private Unwyn – Bribed, hit with a stick, and teleported into Mad Bill Danger’s house.
Spooky – brought back as a Cyborg
Spooky
Spooky’s spinal column had to be replaced with an artificial one. It’s covered by skin on her back, but red lights are visible glowing beneath.
Spooky’s reaction time is reduced, her Saving Throw versus Breath suffers a -2 penalty.
Being dead for several hours caused Spooky’s mind to warp, somewhat. Her internal balance is messed up. She can usually walk okay (though does stumble more often than most people). However, any time her balance would be in question, she fails automatically.
Asheron’s Wishes
Upon gaining level 4, Asheron wished that the “one level per session” cap no longer applied to him.
Asheron is keeping his wishes from levels 5, 6, and 7 in reserve for now.
Carousing Results
Asheron had to make several carousing rolls. He now has a tattoo of a big toothy grin around his mouth. And another tattoo up and down his arm with an infinity symbol, some flying birds, and the words “Live, Laugh, Love.”

Highlights Recap
As the session began, the party gathered in the barracks, where Ronnina was engaged in parley with a group of three soldiers. All the others had been sent off to perform various tasks in light of the “emergency” Ronnina had alerted them to. The soldiers were, at first, terrified of Asheron and the Gobbos, fearing that they were minions of the wizard, but Ronnina assuaged their fears by saying they were good and normal folk, who had been cursed by the wizard.
Private First Class Bower tried to get Ronnina to stop and fill him in on all the details of what was going on, but Ronnina started acting cagey. She avoided his questions and his requests, and pressured him to take the party to the evidence locker, where they could retrieve their gear to “help fight off the attacks of the evil traitorous wizard!”
The guard insisted that they needed to debrief the party at least a little bit first. Ronnina replied by saying that, among her effects was a book, in which she’d been documenting information about wizards. She suggested that, with that book, they might be able to identify who this evil wizard was, and how it could be defeated.
This was a lie. The only book in the evidence locker was Ronnina’s spell book. This guard knew that the party were the same prisoners that had arrived a day before (they did not hide that fact). And while not everyone had been told that the prisoners included a magic user, a random die roll determined that Bower had been told. This, combined with Ronnina’s low social roll when making her lie, meant it was pretty damn obvious what she was trying to do.
Bowser’s attitude shifted. He no longer believed the party were actually on his side. He tried to play it cool, suggesting they all retreat to the basement (where the cells were), where they would be safe from the wizard.
Realizing the jig was up, Ronnina nodded to Classified, who tackled Bower, and attempted to snap his neck. (Which didn’t work, but close enough.) Asheron flipped, which caused a floorboard to pop up, revealing one of the soldier’s stash of contraband. This wasn’t really as much of a distraction as Asheron was hoping for, and the combat continued forward.
Asheron then shouted something about Ronnina being an evil wizard, and asked for a weapon so he could help the guards defeat the rest of the party. He grabbed a bow off the wall and fired it “at” Ronnina, missing, but convincing the guards that he was legitimately on their side.
Which didn’t turn out to matter too much, as the Gobbos killed PFC Bower by jumping on him and forcing him to tumble into the elevator shaft (where the fall just barely killed him), and one of the others was turned into incinerated goo by Ronnina’s fire.
With only one guard left, and multiple party members still having initiative, it was easy for them to intimidate the lone survivor into taking them to the evidence locker (they also treated Asheron as a captive). With an impressive amount of luck, the party entirely avoided any encounters. At one point their prisoner (private Jessen) attempted to escape, but the Gobbos (who had climbed onto his body earlier) gave him some warning bites, and he moved back on course. Also, Ronnina sent off his giant Blood Ooze, with orders to just cause havoc.
Once in the evidence locker, the party trashed the place, and found very little of interest. Aside from recovering their own gear, all they found were drugs, mundane weapons, a stuffed rabbit, and a stick. (Also, Asheron flipped, fillled the room with smoke, and joined in the looting.) From her gear, Ronnina retrieved a bundle of 1000 credits, and tossed it to Jessen, as thanks for helping the party out. Then they knocked him out, and ran back the way they’d come.
They were slightly less lucky on their return trip, and did encounter a large group of people moving out of the building, but managed to blend in with them long enough to get back to the barracks room.
There, they found a group of 6 guards, and one high ranking commander, waiting for them. (PFC Bower had sent for them back had sent for them back when he still thought the party were good guys).
Ronnina didn’t hesitate. She cast Cone of Time, causing all but one low ranking guard to freeze in place. She then tossed another stack of 1000cc to the last remaining guard, and told him to pretend he’d been frozen too. He agreed, but then Asheron threw the stick at him. The guard responded by kicking Asheron, but otherwise letting the party go past unmolseted.
Ronnina cast Feather Fallon the party, and they all jumped down the elevator shaft. As an afterthought, just before jumping down herself, Ronnina cast Mage Form on the guard who was still standing. Unfortuantely, the spell failed. Instead, it caused the guard to switch places with a random wizard living somewhere in the world.
So the guard disappeared, and Mad Bill Danger appeared. He immediately asked out loud “Alright, who failed at casting Mage Form!?” Spotted Ronnina, shook his fist in anger, and started making his way back to where he had been before.
Once the whole party was down on the bottom floor, they fled out into the streets, found a Live Mail service, and mailed themselves (and Spooky’s body) back home.
Thus ended November, 2518.
