The party engaged in a futile battle against Penny and her sorbeyak. It was a depressingly brief engagement, ending in a TPK. Only Stebben managed to download his memories into an old server bank in an unknown location. In a new body he stumbled out into darkness, wondering where to go.
Back in Trumpquatia, a young woman named Glarius decided today would be the day she left home to make a name for herself as an adventurer. Perhaps, someday, to be accepted into the Breakfast Club itself.
She determined her best course would be to explore the sewers, still mostly virgin territory only partially pacified by The Underduke. After escaping from a few wandering monsters through stealth, subtlety, and persuasion, Glarius came upon a crevice which opened into a massive underground cavern.
Upon climbing down into the earth she discovered a massive door covered in obscure runes. A surprisingly adept Language skill roll allowed her to read the inscription: “The Megadungeon of Mars.”
Within, she discovered the lost Stebben, whose backup body was apparently located near the entrance to the dungeon. As they wandered the halls, the party stumbled upon a track, which they followed for several miles. Only too late did they recognize their error when a mighty train demon came roaring down the tracks. With no room in the narrow corridors to leap aside, the party was forced into combat with the train demon, which proved immune to suplexes.
Only through the art of mechano-seduction was Stebben able to prevent another TPKatastrophe. The two really hit it off, and despite the awkwardness of being a third wheel, Glarius accompanied them on a lovely little date in the dungeon. A dungeon date.
The train, fearful that Stebben would forget it in the world above, showered Stebben with lavish gifts such as a diamond encrusted self-regenerated pizza and a satchel full of fairy legs. Promising to return soon and often, the party returned to Trumpquatia with their loot.
Thus ended the month.
