After giving the pigfolk a phone without the ability to make calls, and showing them how to watch videos on it in the hopes they’d learn a language the party could speak, the adventurers set off still deeper into the earth. After many miles they encountered a smooth gash bisecting the tunnel they were traveling. It surface was covered in a strange, non-repeating screaming face pattern. They climbed down into it and followed it into a massive cavern. Easily large enough to fit the entire dome inside of it. Bones were everywhere. It appeared to be an ancient battlefield. The remains of the pig people were numerous, but more notable were the many and varried skeletons of titans. Jeb took the time to attempt to get some DNA scrapings from bone marrow, and opened a portal to the halls of the Underduke. This is a space that would need investigation.
Varouj comitted 20 of his folk to the effort, led by his partner Helen. Duke Dayvos likewise comitted 12 of his folk, led by his daughter Shayli. They brought equipment with which to establish a base camp, and they aided the party in beginning to map the space. Before the portal closed, Jeb made markings there to make it easier to open a portal between the two spaces next time.
While out exploring, the party found a massive snake person the size of an elephant wearing armor. The armor had a few gems studded in it, which were collected. Within the armor they discovered a golden disk studded with gems and writing in the same unknown language they’d found all over the pigman city.
